Blog Entry #3 What is the most effective way for a ruler to maintain order?
My math teacher Dr. Schneider has a great method of teaching. So in this case she would be the ruler and she would have to maintain order for us in order for the students to learn. Her method sticks in my mind the best. Instead of having the assignments due the next time we see her after class they are due in two times because we would go over them the next time we met and then we would have time to fill in our corrections. This process allows us as students not to forget what we needed to do for the assignment and some have very little time doing because students have other priorities that are expected of us. So we don't give her lame excuses that we didn't understand it because we had time to go over it in class, which puts power and more knowledge into her to really keep us in line. She still doesn't accept late work but there is lenience time if it is if we want to get it done in the most successful way that we can. Which makes us all happy and Dr. Schneider happy because she knows that her students understand the material but don't get lazy and slack off because they have extra time because she still has boundaries that cant be crossed and she knows when they are. This relates for a king to keep order because he is still putting punishments on the people but he lets them have more freedom and relax time so that they might be more motivated to get it done, but the king still needs his needs to be met or else he starts to get mad.

Diamonds Theory
I disagree and I agree with Jared Diamonds theory, here's why. I disagree because just because people lived in different areas and had different crops does not mean that if they had those crops they would be higher in technology. Also I agree because the areas that did have an abundance of wheat and barley, back then it was considered technology because from agriculture they emerged into different techniques that spread throughout the world. For example trading. Trading became apart of the world when people started having crops and goods to trade with it really began to set off and it became very popular.
